Rewatched Shirokuma Cafe with my roommate and decided to take her to the Shirokuma Cafe in Takadanobaba. This was my second time at the cafe and it was a bit more rainy than the first. ^^;

We went during lunch time so it was quite crowded and we actually had a wait a few minutes to get a table. I had the Shirokuma drink (berry yogurt) and pancakes. For every collaboration food item you order, you get to roll a dice for a free coaster. I rolled #4 which just happened to be the Llama san one! =D

Some of the cast members have signed an autograph on the wall (the one to the right of the Shirokuma panel) but unfortunately they don’t allow any photography.

Since Tanabata is coming up, they left out some tanzaku so customers could write their wishes and hang them up on the bamboo tree. My roomie wished for them to open up a Grizzly Bar, LoL.

Had a good time and it’s nice that the cafe is open year round and isn’t just a limited time thing.

Shirokuma’s Recipe #2!
I am less happy with how this one looks. The spacing was much more difficult, and I struggled with a few of the translations. Doing things like this always makes me realize just how difficult it is to translate out of Japanese (German is so much easier, wah).

More specifically, I had no idea what to put for 「真剣!」I think something like “really!” or “for real!” might have been better style-wise. Shinken essentially means serious/earnest.

I decided to translate 「ふっとうのタイミングをのがさない」somewhat loosely, as I was struggling with how to smoothly translate that.

And I was also a little iffy on how to go about translating the 「おいしくはいった紅茶はいい香り」bit, but I hope it turned out okay ♪♪

(Basically my Japanese skills need a lot of work, haha)

I’ve really appreciated the feedback I got on the first scan and will likely update the scan with a few tweaks in a few days. Thanks for reading!

This took much longer than I thought it would to clean up and re-text. I took a bit of liberty with a couple of the translations and am fairly happy with how it turned out, but I would also love to get feedback on both my translation and my scan, as this is my first time doing anything like this.
